The Rotary Club of Makati Premier District’s Youth Service Committee launched “Peace Heroes: Take a Stand, Lend a Hand,” a three-part anti-bullying campaign in front of 40 teachers and school officials of the Francisco Benitez 3 Elementary School.
The initial leg of this campaign kicked off last Friday, February 28, with Community Service head Patricia Manuel-Go leading a very informative talk for the teachers entitled “The Making of a Bully-Free School: Creating a Culture of Empathy.” She specifically highlighted the underlying causes of bullying as well as specific measures that school officials and teachers need to address so they can achieve an environment of mutual respect and empathy in a public school setting.
