With COVID-19, a new way of working means social distancing. Virtual meetings using the Zoom app was a first for the club and still succeeded in getting a majority attendance.

During the Strategic Planning Session for Rotary Year 2020-2021 held last March 14 at the President’s Room of the Manila Polo Club, there were productive, interactive discussions amongst the members in the meeting room and with those connected virtually from their homes.

The meeting was presided by PE Ricky Trinidad, who rang the club bell at both its start and conclusion. According to President Nikki Tang, it served as a “warm-up” to his incoming term. The usual breakout sessions and committee recruitment efforts headed by the various incoming Committee Chairpersons likewise proceeded smoothly using this novel virtual approach.

Special guest District Assistant Governor Czar Tiu was surprised to learn that we are just a three-year -old club. He commended our service projects and club accomplishments as having surpassed those of the older and more established Rotary Clubs!
